Commander of Sistan and Baluchestan Police Force Changed

The police commander of Sistan and Baluchestan was changed.

On the eve of the fortieth day after the victims of Zahedan’s Bloody Friday, Commander Mohammad Ghanbari was appointed as the police commander of Sistan and Baluchestan.

According to this decree, Ahmad Taheri, the police commander in the province of Sistan and Baluchestan, was removed from his position.

Forty days ago, on Friday, September 30th, worshippers who gathered after Molavi Abdul Hamid’s sermon to protest against the assault of a police commander on a teenage girl were met with direct fire from security forces, resulting in the death of between 80 to 100 people and injuring dozens more.

Recently, the massacre of protesters in Khash also made headlines.

Molavi Abdul Hamid, the Friday prayer leader of Zahedan, who has been heavily criticizing the Iranian government in recent weeks, demanded action against those responsible for this crime.
