Concern for the Situation of Detained Baloch Protesters: Lives of Jan Hossein Kashani Asl and Moulavi Abdolmajid at Risk

Concern over the situation of detained Baloch protesters, Jahan Hossein Kashani Asl and Molavi Abdolmajid are at risk

Baloch activists in Sistan and Baluchestan province of Iran have expressed concern about the situation of Hossein Kashani Asl, one of the detainees of the Zahedan protests, and say Mr. Kashani Asl is under torture in prison.

The Halvash Telegram channel, which publishes news about the protests in Sistan and Baluchestan, wrote on Tuesday that Hossein was a friend of Khedanour Lajhai, who was arrested by intelligence forces in Zahedan amid the Zahedan protests on October 1st and has been subjected to severe torture.

At the same time, the family of Molavi Abdolmajid Moradzahi, a detained Baloch cleric, has called on human rights organizations in an open letter to work for his release.

The letter calls on human rights organizations to pressure the Islamic Republic to be accountable for the rights of political prisoners.

Halvash says Mr. Moradzahi was transferred to a prison in Mashhad after being arrested by intelligence agents.
