Concern over the torture and psychological abuse of Mahshid Zahedpasand

Relatives of one of the protesters arrested on November 15 say that officers have told 19-year-old Mahshid Zahedpasand that her body will leave here, the Qarchak women’s prison, as a corpse.

They also say that this young protester’s wrist was possibly dislocated during the arrest because others have witnessed her swollen hand.

According to reports, Ms. Zahedpasand was arrested in the late days of last November in Andisheh Town, a suburb of Tehran.

It is said that she has fallen ill due to the prison’s unsanitary conditions, and despite conflicting statements from the prosecutor’s office, the status of her case remains unclear.
