Ayatollah Khamenei’s Condolence Message Following the Terrorist Attack on Shah Cheragh
Ayatollah Khamenei expressed his condolences in a message following the terrorist incident at the Shah Cheragh shrine in Shiraz.
The text of this message is as follows: The cruel crime at the holy shrine of Ahmad ibn Musa, peace be upon him, which led to the martyrdom and injury of dozens of innocent men, women, and children, has saddened and grieved hearts.
The perpetrator or perpetrators of this sorrowful crime will certainly be punished, but the loss of loved ones and the desecration of the shrine of the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, will not be compensated without investigating the roots of these tragedies and taking decisive and wise action regarding them.
We all have responsibilities in confronting the enemy’s incendiary hand and his treacherous or ignorant and unaware agents, from security agencies and the judiciary to activists in the fields of thought and propaganda, and to all dear people, we must stand united against the current that disregards and disrespects people’s lives, their security, and their sanctities.
The dear nation and responsible bodies will certainly overcome the malicious conspiracies of the enemies, God willing. I extend my condolences to the bereaved families of this incident, to the people of Shiraz, and to all the people of Iran, and I pray to Almighty God for the recovery of the injured.
