Confidential document on potential attack plan on Iran not found

The American news network CNN reported that Donald Trump’s lawyers have not been able to find a confidential US military document related to the Pentagon’s plan for a potential attack on Iran, which the former president had kept with him.

On Friday, June 2, the network wrote, citing two informed sources, that Mr. Trump’s lawyers found the documents about 25 months ago after receiving a federal subpoena regarding the need to return confidential documents and handed them over to the court, but all their efforts to find the document related to Iran have been unsuccessful.

On May 31, CNN reported that the US prosecution has a recorded audio of Mr. Trump speaking in the summer two years ago at a golf club in New Jersey about a confidential Pentagon document related to a potential US attack on Iran.

The audio was recorded about six months after Mr. Trump’s presidency ended. Multiple sources told CNN that he was aware the Pentagon document regarding a potential attack on Iran was confidential and thus faced restrictions on sharing its content.
