Confirmed: Robert Malley's Deputy Resigns from Iran Negotiation Team

The news has been confirmed: Robert Malley’s deputy has stepped down from the negotiating team with Iran.

Ned Price, the spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State, has confirmed reports regarding the resignation of Jarrett Blanc, Robert Malley’s deputy, from the U.S. nuclear negotiating team with Iran.

According to Mr. Price, Jarrett Blanc left the negotiating team to return to his primary position at the U.S. Department of Energy.

Mr. Price stated that Mr. Blanc had been serving as a nuclear expert on assignment at the U.S. Department of State for the past two years, and his mission has now concluded.

Previously, Richard Nephew, a prominent U.S. expert on sanctions, had also resigned from the negotiating team.
