Conservative newspaper’s attack on unveiled actresses: Because you are out of the spotlight, you remove your headscarves.
The conservative newspaper Javan wrote that most of the actresses who have recently unveiled themselves have previously collaborated with the Islamic Republic of Iran’s broadcasting organization or acted in films funded by governmental institutions like the Art Bureau and Farabi Foundation.
These actresses should be asked how, back when they were in front of TV directors’ cameras and earning good money, they had no concerns about the hijab situation, and now that they are out of the spotlight and no one offers them roles, they suddenly remove their headscarves.
The Javan newspaper concludes by stating that all these actresses must explain how, when good money was being deposited into their accounts, they had no opposition or issues with the hijab and the country’s laws, and now that their collaborations have ended, they suddenly object to everything. This double standard is hard for people to understand.
They need to speak transparently about the money they have received and the behaviors they have exhibited, and stop the duplicity in their actions and their hypocrisy.
