Continuation of unprecedented currency price records

The selling rate of the US dollar in the Tehran free market trading during the five working days of the past week increased by nearly 2,650 tomans, reaching an unprecedented rate of 47,680 tomans at the end of Thursday’s transactions, a rate that was 26,300 tomans last April.

The continued rise in the currency rate in the Iranian market caused the price of each full gold coin in the Tehran market to reach a new record of 27,600,000 tomans with an increase of 1,200,000 tomans, despite a $690 decrease in the global rate of each ounce of gold to $1,829.40. The trading rate of each gram of 18-karat gold also surpassed 2,200,000 tomans.
