Continued Detention and Lack of Information on Niloufar Fathi
Niloufar Fathi, a mathematics teacher, was arrested unlawfully and without a judicial warrant by security forces on Tuesday, October 18th, at the law office of Hossein Rezaei, an attorney, located on Shariati Street in Tehran. She was transferred to Ward 209 of the Ministry of Intelligence located in Evin Prison. Fourteen days after her arrest, there is still no information about the charges against her or her bail conditions.
The Coordination Council of Iranian Teachers’ Trade Associations, considering the illegal nature of such detentions, demands the unconditional release of this teacher.
