Continued Detention and Lack of Information on Niloufar Fathi

Niloufar Fathi, a mathematics teacher, was arrested on Tuesday, October 18, at the law office of Hossein Rezaei, a lawyer, located on Shariati Street in Tehran by security forces without presenting a judicial warrant and illegally taken to Ward 209 of the Ministry of Intelligence in Evin Prison. Fourteen days after the arrest, there is still no information about the charges against her or her bail status.

The Coordinating Council of Iranian Teachers’ Trade Associations, given the illegal nature of such arrests, is demanding the unconditional release of this teacher.
