Continued detention of three members of the Fallahi family with serious charges
The lawyer for the three members of the Fallahi family, including the father and two children, says that they remain in prison without resolution after six months.
Erfan Karamvisi, a defense attorney, wrote in an Instagram post that Branch 6 of the Evin Prosecutor’s Office has prevented him from officially representing them.
He wrote that the family members are facing charges of 1) ‘moharebeh’ (waging war against God), 2) ‘corruption on earth’ through extensive actions against the country, and 3) gathering and conspiring to commit crimes against national security.
He wrote that these three, after lengthy interrogations and enduring more than 60 days of solitary confinement in detention centers and prisons in Isfahan and Shiraz, were initially transferred to Ward 209 of Evin Prison on February 12 of last year, and after about a month, were moved to Ward 4, and Arghavan was transferred to the women’s ward of Evin Prison.
He added that since their arrest, they have been left in limbo with repeated extensions of temporary detention, and requests to change their detention to bail have been denied.
