The Corruptions of Jalayer Khalili in Cooperative 450 of Vali Asr’s Veterans, Part Five
The corruptions of Jalayer Khalili in Cooperative 450 of Vali Asr’s Veterans, according to Iran Gate, corruption and cronyism in the oil and petrochemical industry is one of the biggest economic challenges of our country, annually destroying billions of tomans of national resources. In this sector, there are corrupt families who, in pursuit of greater profit rather than improving the country’s situation, have caused economic destruction. One of the biggest corrupt families in this sector is the Khalili family.
Jalayer Khalili, a member of this family, has been striving to receive more crony privileges and has increasingly sought greater profits in recent years. Most of this family’s actions have been carried out under the names Hura Nikbakht and Aryobarzan Nikbakht, Jalayer’s wife and brother-in-law, and the children of Naser Nikbakht, the former governor of Hamedan.
Jalayer Khalili engages in receiving crony privileges by registering various companies. In many cases, due to bribing the IRGC Intelligence and judges, his name has been removed. He has been mentioned in cases such as the Babak Zanjani oil rig, Ba Mey Petrochemical of Shiraz, and Akbar Tabari’s case, who is a friend of Jalayer Khalili. Additionally, as the CEO of Cooperative 450 of Vali Asr’s Veterans, he has received numerous privileges from the Supreme Leader’s office to banks and government institutions. This company is licensed by the Martyrs Foundation.
Ultimately, the corruptions of Jalayer Khalili and his associated corrupt family indicate that in Iran, the oil and petrochemical mafia is widely active and has gained massive privileges in this industry. To combat this corruption and cronyism, there is a need for judicial reform, strengthening anti-corruption laws, reinforcing oversight organizations, and preventing conflicts of interest.
Of course, this requires strong will from the government, the judiciary, and other related institutions to strive towards creating a clean and transparent oil and petrochemical industry. Hopefully, fighting corruption and cronyism in this industry will lead to the country’s economic and social development and benefit all people.
