Croatia joined the Schengen Area

As of Sunday, March 26, Croatia officially joined the European Union’s Schengen Area, allowing residents of countries within this zone to travel to Croatia without a visa.

The Schengen Area is the largest free travel zone in the world, comprising 27 countries, including 22 European Union countries, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland.

According to the latest statistics, about 2 million people live in one of the countries in this area and work in another member country of this agreement, while more than 3 million people cross international borders in this area daily.
