Cultural Heritage Bans Tourists from Entering the Desert to Respect Laylat al-Qadr

Due to the reverence for the Night of Qadr, cultural heritage has banned tourists from entering the desert.

The head of the Cultural Heritage Department of Aran and Bidgol, Isfahan, said that entry of tourists to desert areas, including Maranjab and Siyazgeh, has been prohibited from the 19th to the 23rd of Ramadan by the decision of the county’s travel services committee, aiming to preserve the sanctity of the Nights of Qadr and the holy month of Ramadan.

Javad Abdali stated on Thursday in an interview with IRNA that entry is only allowed for tourists who have previously booked accommodation in desert tourism complexes, and for other tourists, entry to the desert will be prohibited.

Maranjab, with its capacity for activities such as desert trekking, off-roading, motorcycling, safari, camel riding, and sand skiing, annually hosts tens of thousands of domestic and foreign tourists.
