The Cyber Police arrested 40 individuals involved in the distribution of semi-nude images.
Colonel Davood Moazami Goodarzi, referring to the start of investigations by the officers, said that through investigations conducted by cyber police experts and reviewing the complainants’ statements, it was determined that pages under the titles of modeling, online boutiques, and other sources were responsible for the distribution of these images. The managers of these pages, without considering individuals’ privacy and motivated by profit and follower acquisition, published semi-nude and unconventional images.
Moazami Goodarzi mentioned the identification of more than 40 operators of these pages in the virtual space and added that following police actions and judicial procedures, the operators of these pages, who had published personal and private images of the complainants without their consent, were arrested and the case is under judicial review.
The head of Tehran’s Cyber Police, noting that these pages collectively attracted more than three million followers, said that a case was filed for the arrested individuals, and they were sent to the prosecutor’s office for further legal proceedings.
