Damascus Airport Operations Halted Again

Damascus Airport operations have been halted once again

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and state media, Damascus International Airport was targeted by Israeli missile strikes on the afternoon of Sunday, November 26, causing the airport to become non-operational.

Previously, since the start of the Israel-Hamas war on October 7, the Syrian capital’s airport had been targeted by Israeli airstrikes twice.

The latest round of these attacks occurred on October 22, causing significant damage to the airport’s infrastructure, which rendered the airport out of service until about two days ago.

However, just 24 hours after resuming operations, new attacks were carried out again, and the airport’s services were halted once more.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Israeli missiles struck the airport’s runways on Sunday.
