Data from the Iranian Statistics Center Indicates a Rise in Unemployment Rate

Data from the Iranian Statistics Center indicates an increase in the unemployment rate.

New data from the Iranian Statistics Center indicates an increase in the unemployment rate and shows that the number of employed individuals in the last quarter of this year has decreased compared to the previous quarter.

On Sunday, March 17, the Iranian Statistics Center announced in a new report that the unemployment rate among the population aged 15 and above is 8.6 percent.

This figure was announced as 7.6 percent in the fall season.

According to the new data from the Iranian Statistics Center, this winter, only 37.3 percent of Iran’s population over the age of 15 were employed.

According to these statistics, the highest unemployment rates in Iran belong to the provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan, Hormozgan, Lorestan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, and Kermanshah, respectively.

The new statistics also show that the unemployment rate for women increased more rapidly than for men during the winter season.

According to the Tejarat News website, last year, the employment rate for men was about five times that of women.
