Day three of Beijing’s military maneuvers: Chinese fighter jets practice encircling Taiwan

China has announced that on the third day of military maneuvers around the island of Taiwan, it is simulating blocking and encircling the island.

According to reports, China used the aircraft carrier Shandong to launch fighter jets towards the island of Taiwan in today’s exercises.

Taiwan has stated that it has identified Chinese jets to the east of the island.

Beijing began its military exercises around Taiwan on Saturday, following a meeting two weeks ago between Tsai Ing-wen, the President of Taiwan, and Kevin McCarthy, the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, in California.

However, reports indicate that the scale of this military maneuver has not been as large as the exercise conducted after Nancy Pelosi’s visit last year.
