End of Iran’s Deadline on the PS752 Flight Case
Reuters reports that with the expiration of the six-month deadline given to the Iranian government to resolve the dispute over the PS752 Ukraine flight case, four countries – Canada, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and Sweden – will refer the case to the International Court of Justice.
This comes as Iran, in recent days, has filed a complaint against Canada at the International Court of Justice.
Reuters reported that the Canadian government says it is analyzing Iran’s petition and will take appropriate actions in accordance with the procedures of the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
The Islamic Republic of Iran, in a complaint submitted to the Hague court, argues why Canada allows the families of victims of terrorist attacks to seek compensation from this country.
According to Iran’s claim, Canada’s action violates the immunity granted to this country by international laws.
