Deadly Earthquake Warning in Istanbul, Turkey

The Turkish newspaper Hurriyet wrote on Friday that experts predict a much larger earthquake will occur in the city of Istanbul, with casualties and damage far exceeding that of the Kahramanmaraş earthquake.

The newspaper added that in the scenario of an earthquake of 7.5 and above occurring in Istanbul, the number of apartment units that will be severely damaged will reach over 211,000 units.

This number will, on average, affect 1.3 million people.
