Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Tehran: Out of 8 Detained Students, 7 Were Quota Veterans

The head of the Faculty of Law at the University of Tehran stated that out of 8 detained students, 7 were beneficiaries of the martyrdom quota.

Ebrahim Motaghi, the head of the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the University of Tehran, has said that out of the 8 detained students from this faculty, 7 were students who benefited from the martyrdom quota.

He mentioned that the fathers of these students were war veterans, chemically injured, and members of the Revolutionary Guard.

Mr. Motaghi also said, ‘I am disappointed with the national media. We spend a hundred times more than Al Jazeera, but look at how much influence we have.’

The head of the Faculty of Law, pointing out that the media should have a critical perspective, warned that if they do not adopt a critical view, Persian-language media outside of Iran will replace the national broadcaster.
