Deputy of the Judiciary: Babak Zanjani's Assets Entered the Country Considering Inflation

The Deputy of the Judiciary announced that Babak Zanjani’s assets, adjusted for inflation, have been brought back into the country.

The Deputy of the Judiciary stated regarding Babak Zanjani’s case that his assets were identified abroad and returned to the country.

Naser Seraj, the Deputy of the Judiciary, referring to Babak Zanjani’s case, mentioned that his case has been under discussion since 2015. He said that a part of his assets in Iran was confiscated, and those abroad were also identified. His assets were recovered and brought into the country, even more than what he owed, accounting for inflation.

He referred to the seizure of an American ship in the context of the butterfly patients’ complaint and continued that the oil tanker was confiscated as compensation for these patients. By selling the oil, compensation will be paid to the beneficiaries.

He announced the arrest of an individual and a company with billions of tomans in debt and added that this person has been arrested and is currently in prison.
