The deputy representative of the Iranian leader in the IRGC said 50 leaders of the public protests were members of the Mojahedin Organization.
Hossein Tayebi Far, the deputy representative of the Supreme Leader in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, claimed that about 50 identified leaders in the protests were members of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization.
The IRNA news agency, citing the public relations of the Ansar al-Reza Corps of South Khorasan, reported that Mr. Tayebi Far said in a meeting that these individuals intended to implement the Syrian scenario in Iran.
In the past seven weeks, officials of the Islamic Republic have repeatedly attributed Iran’s protests to foreign elements such as Western countries’ intelligence services and also members of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization.
Opponents say that the leaders of the Islamic Republic are trying to discredit the protests by fabricating cases and attributing the protests to external elements.
