Deputy Speaker of Parliament: Let me say discreetly, the Hijab law has been implemented

Vice President of the Parliament says cryptically that the hijab law has been implemented

With increasing pressure on Iranian women and girls to enforce compulsory hijab, Ali Nikzad, Vice President of the Iranian Parliament, told a gathering of protesters in front of the Parliament demanding the announcement and implementation of the strict chastity and hijab law that this law is being implemented in a veiled manner.

He asks the protesters to return home.

The implementation of the chastity and hijab law, like other Iranian laws, depends on the President’s announcement, and previously, the lack of its announcement has repeatedly become a point of controversy in media close to the conservative movement in Iran.

Previously, Mohammad Jafar Qaem Panah, the Executive Deputy of the President of the Islamic Republic, had said that the Minister of Health stated he cannot announce this law because it creates problems for the people.
