The directive from the Council for Promoting Virtue and Preventing Vice of the Mobarakeh Steel Company states that the coats of female employees must be one size larger than the individual’s size.
According to an image circulated on social media, the Council for Promoting Virtue and Preventing Vice of the Mobarakeh Steel Company distributed a leaflet in a briefing session for female employees of the company, outlining the dress code for working women.
These regulations include 11 clauses, and violation of any of them is considered a breach of disciplinary rules, and the individual will be dealt with according to the organization’s legal regulations and selection criteria.
One of the clauses states that the coats of female employees must be one size larger than the individual’s size, and the coat length must be at least below the knee.
Additionally, the seventh clause states that long socks must be worn in such a way that when sitting in transportation services and office environments, the related modesty is maintained.
In recent months, the Islamic Republic has increased pressure on women regarding freedom of dress.
This is while, during nationwide protests following the death of Mahsa Amini, protesters chanted slogans against mandatory hijab and called for the overthrow of the Islamic Republic.
