Disclosure of a confidential document from the Strategic Studies Center of the Presidency

The Strategic Studies Center of the Iranian Presidency, in a confidential letter to the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, warned about the continuation of Iran’s regional role without strengthening the country’s economy and emphasized the necessity of attracting China’s economic cooperation with a focus on transforming the country into a transit corridor and the factory of West Asia.

In this letter addressed to Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, it is stated that any cooperation package with China should be designed with the focus on forming an advanced industrial system in Iran and playing a role in the Chinese value chain.

These documents were obtained during the hacking of the presidential website, which a group opposed to the Islamic Republic named ‘Uprising Until Overthrow’ has claimed responsibility for.
