Discoverer of Wagner Group mercenaries’ cemetery fled Russia

According to the Moscow Times online newspaper, a civil activist who discovered and publicized the cemetery of Wagner Group mercenaries has left Russia.

Vitaly Votanovsky documented the deaths of Russian soldiers in Ukraine by monitoring the cemeteries in his hometown region. He left his country on April 4th after receiving multiple death threats.

Votanovsky was the first to discover the cemetery in Bakinskaya, Russia, where numerous mercenaries from the Wagner Group, who were killed in Ukraine, are buried.
