Discovery of 18 migrants’ bodies in Bulgaria

The bodies of 18 migrants, who were hidden in a truck, were found in western Bulgaria. These individuals likely suffocated. The Bulgarian police have arrested four suspects in connection with this incident.

In Bulgaria, the bodies of eighteen migrants, who were concealed behind a truck carrying a load of wood, were found. According to the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior, all migrants were Afghan citizens.

Borislav Sefrov, the Chief of the Bulgarian police, told reporters that among the deceased, the body of a child was also seen. The truck was carrying a total of 52 illegal migrants. The truck was abandoned near the village of Lukovsko in western Bulgaria, about 20 kilometers from Sofia, the capital of the country.
