Discovery of a large shipment of heroin originating from Chabahar in the Oman Sea

The U.S. Navy announced the discovery of a shipment of heroin worth $80 million originating from Chabahar in the Oman Sea. The Fifth Fleet of the U.S. Navy announced on May 10 that it had seized about two tons of heroin from a fishing boat. The U.S. Navy says that a few days ago, it also seized 580 kilograms of methamphetamine and 35 kilograms of heroin, totaling a value of $30 million, from another fishing boat that was also departing from Chabahar.
