Record Dollar Price on February 11

The price of each US dollar in Iran’s free currency market has risen from ten tomans in 1978 to a record 45,140 tomans on February 11, 2023.

According to reports from unofficial websites that record foreign currency prices in Iran, the exchange rate for the British pound was also announced at 54,440 tomans on Saturday, February 11, and each euro is being traded at 48,305 tomans.

Although Friday and Saturday are official holidays in Iran, the price of the US dollar has been above 40,000 tomans for several weeks, hitting several records, and it does not seem to be coming down.

On these same websites, the price of each full gold coin is recorded at 24,650,000 tomans, the old design coin at 23,200,000 tomans, and the price of each half coin is 14,300,000 tomans.
