Dollar Returns to 161,000 Toman Channel: Currency and Coin Prices Drop Following Iran-U.S. Agreement Announcement

Dollar returns to the 161 thousand Toman range, currency and gold prices drop after the announcement of Iran and US agreement

Following the announcement of an agreement between Iran and the US on signing a memorandum to end the war, the currency and gold prices in Iran’s free market experienced a significant decrease.

According to the announced rates in the free market, the price of each US dollar fell to less than 162 thousand Tomans on Monday, a figure about 10 thousand Tomans less than the rates recorded in previous days. The dollar was trading in the range of over 171 thousand Tomans before the agreement was announced.

Simultaneously, other foreign currencies also recorded a similar price decrease.

In the gold market, the price of each coin reached about 167 million Tomans, showing a decrease of about five million Tomans compared to the previous day.

This comes while during the war, the trend of currency and gold rates in Iran was upward, with the dollar price at times reaching the brink of 190 thousand Tomans.
