The record-breaking of the dollar continues
A day after the government of Ebrahim Raisi, the President of Iran, launched a new center for currency and gold exchange and emphasized that unofficial prices are now considered smuggling, the prices of the dollar and euro broke their historical records for a few hours, with the euro surpassing 54,000 tomans and the dollar rising to 50,800 tomans.
After the new currency and gold exchange center started operating, a price of 41,500 tomans for the dollar was also unveiled, and the Hamshahri newspaper wrote on its front page that the real price of the dollar in the exchange market is 9,000 tomans cheaper than the smuggled dollar. However, as reports suggest, this price is not fixed and will change daily based on supply and demand. This price was set while in Ferdowsi Square and the market, the dollar is still being sold for over 50,000 tomans.
