Donald Trump: My confidence in the nuclear agreement with Iran has decreased
The President of the United States stated in an interview published on Wednesday, June 10, that he is less confident about the possibility of reaching an agreement with Iran to stop uranium enrichment.
In a conversation with the ‘Pod Force One’ podcast, Donald Trump, in response to the question of whether he thinks he will be able to force Iran to halt its nuclear program, said, ‘I don’t know, I used to think so, but as time goes on, my confidence decreases.’
So far, five rounds of negotiations between Iran and the United States have been conducted to reach an agreement on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program, but talks have hit a deadlock on the issue of uranium enrichment.
While Washington demands a complete halt to enrichment by Iran, officials of the Islamic Republic have rejected this demand, calling it Tehran’s red line.
