Due to Security Threats, Iran International Network Moves to Washington

Following security threats, Iran International network moves to Washington

Iran International Television announced in a statement that to ensure the safety of its journalists and staff, it will stop broadcasting its programs from London starting Friday night and will transfer all its 24-hour news bulletins to Washington.

In this statement published on the Iran International website, it is said that this decision was made following warnings received from the London Metropolitan Police about serious and immediate threats to the safety of Iranian journalists working at this media outlet, which were conveyed to the managers of Iran International.

In the latest incident of threats against Iran International, the London Metropolitan Police announced last Monday in a statement the arrest and charge of an Austrian national accused of attempting to commit crimes related to terrorist operations against the Iran International building.
