Early Retirement Sentence on Charges of Propaganda Against the Regime

Esmail Khodayari, a teacher residing in Qazvin, has been sentenced to early retirement by the Preliminary Board for Administrative Violations on charges of propaganda against the regime, with a reduction in one group related to teacher ranking.

According to the Coordinating Council of Iranian Teacher Trade Associations, Mr. Khodayari, an English teacher in Khorramdasht, was arrested in October during the protests and was later temporarily released on bail.

In recent months, several university professors have been forced into early retirement without receiving full pensions. Sousan Safaavardi, one of these professors, referred to the recent actions of Azad University as a purge and cleansing.
