Eastern Reaction to Internet Capitulation: This Program is Just Humiliation for Iran and Iranians

The East’s reaction to the internet capitulation: This program is only a humiliation of Iran and Iranians.

Ali Mojtahedzadeh, a lawyer, wrote in the Shargh newspaper that the Minister of Communications has announced that foreign tourists have faced some difficulties due to the filtering of WhatsApp and Instagram, and they are considering designing special SIM cards so that these individuals can use the virtual space more easily and effectively during their stay in Iran.

With a bit of leniency, the program announced by Mr. Zarepour is nothing but an internet capitulation, meaning granting additional privileges and rights to foreign citizens while the Iranian citizen is deprived of the same privileges and rights in a general sense.

Before any legal critique, it is necessary to emphatically state that implementing such a program is nothing but a humiliation of Iran and Iranians, essentially creating a scenario where the Iranian citizen is deemed unworthy and undeserving of access to the simplest possible internet services.
