Ebrahim Raisi threatened the opponents, saying we will not show mercy to the adversaries.
Ebrahim Raisi, the President of the Islamic Republic, once again referred to the hundred-day anti-government protests in Iran during a ceremony on Tuesday, stating that we will not show mercy to the adversaries.
However, he also mentioned that the nation’s arms are open to all those who have been deceived.
He once again labeled the protests, which began in response to Mahsa Amini’s death in the custody of the morality police, as riots.
The Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) in Iran today estimated that 507 protesters have lost their lives between October 19th and December 26th in protests over Mahsa Amini’s death.
Human rights monitoring organizations have estimated that at least 14,000 to 16,000 people have been arrested.
The severe restrictions imposed by the Iranian government on the free flow of information and independent reporting have made it difficult to accurately determine the number and identity of those killed.
