Ebrahim Raisi: We do not agree with the presence of foreigners in the region under the pretext of solving problems.

The President, referring to the determination of high-ranking officials of Iran and Armenia to develop trade and economic relations and elevate them to the level of existing political relations between them, emphasized that the full implementation of all agreements made between Tehran and Yerevan is supported by us.

Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, this morning on Thursday, in a meeting with Mher Grigoryan, Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia and the head of the joint economic cooperation commission of the two countries, and the accompanying delegation, described the relations between Tehran and Yerevan as historically friendly and constructive, and emphasized the Islamic Republic of Iran’s commitment to maintaining stability and security in the Caucasus region.

The President further announced support and welcome for peace negotiations between Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan and emphasized the Islamic Republic of Iran’s determination and readiness to ensure strategic security in the Caucasus region and its red lines in this regard.

Raisi also stated that we do not agree with the presence of foreigners in the region under the pretext of solving problems and believe that their presence will not only fail to resolve any issues but will become a bigger problem for the nations and governments of the region.

The President continued by highlighting the determination of the high-ranking officials of the two countries to develop trade and economic relations and elevate them to the level of existing political relations between them, emphasizing that the full implementation of all agreements made between Tehran and Yerevan is supported by us, and this requires the doubled efforts and diligent follow-up of the joint commission of the two countries.
