Ebrahim Raisi’s Approval for Increasing Surveillance Cameras

While media close to the Islamic Republic have recently claimed the use of artificial intelligence to identify women without mandatory hijab, the chief of the police force says Ebrahim Raisi has agreed to increase surveillance cameras.

On Thursday, June 15, Ahmadreza Radan, referring to the fact that dealing with unveiling through cameras is being implemented and the police force has requested the government to increase the coverage of surveillance cameras, said that the President also agreed with this issue, and it is hoped that funds will soon be allocated for this purpose.

Following the protests, the increase in surveillance cameras has been seen as an effort to control protesters and dissidents.
