Economy Minister's Warning on Deviation in Private Banks' Performance

Warning from the Minister of Economy about the deviation in the performance of private banks

The Minister of Economy recently sent a letter to the Governor of the Central Bank, warning about the significant deviation of private banks in the loan-to-deposit ratio in the provinces.

In this regard, Ehsan Khandozi suggested to the Governor of the Central Bank that banks which do not promptly improve their provincial loan-to-deposit ratios to at least 50 percent should first receive a warning, and if the incorrect past trend continues, the offending bank should be required to close its inefficient provincial branches.
