According to the human rights news agency HRANA, on the morning of Tuesday, February 14, three prisoners who had been convicted in drug-related and murder cases were executed in Karaj Central Prison.
One of these three men, named Mehdi Doustari, faced drug-related charges, while the other two prisoners, whose identities HRANA says it is working to confirm, were convicted of murder.
At the same time, it is reported that at least 5 people were executed on Tuesday in Urmia, Gorgan, and Qazvin.
According to the Human Rights Organization in Iran, Siros Gholami, who was accused of premeditated murder, was executed on Sunday in Gorgan Central Prison.
The organization reports that at dawn on Monday, Ahmad Samari and Behzad Alirezaei, two prisoners held in Qazvin Central Prison, were executed. According to the organization, the charges leading to the death penalty are unclear.
