Elections Have Started in the Occupied Territories

Elections in the occupied territories have begun.

With the start of voting by Israeli citizens outside the occupied territories, the Israeli elections have effectively commenced. Meanwhile, Israelis are preparing to line up at polling stations next week.

The latest polls do not indicate a decisive lead for any electoral faction. Netanyahu’s electoral bloc is hovering around 60 to 61 seats, while the bloc supporting the current Prime Minister Yair Lapid reaches 56 to 57 seats. Naturally, these polls will undergo slight changes until election day, as the ideological direction and approach of far-right factions on one side and Israeli Arabs on the other become clearer.
