Elon Musk’s unexpected trip to China
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has traveled to Beijing on an unannounced trip to negotiate with senior officials of the country.
Reuters reported that on Monday, April 30th, he landed at Beijing International Airport with a private jet registered to a company associated with SpaceX and Tesla.
The news agency, citing an informed source, said that Mr. Musk is expected to discuss with senior Chinese officials, including Premier Li Keqiang, about the full self-driving software offer and the permission to transfer data out of the country.
A report released by China’s state television network CCTV about Elon Musk’s meeting with Li Keqiang did not mention discussions on the topic of full self-driving technology as one of the subjects of conversation between the two parties.
