Spokesman for the Emergency Services: 282 people were injured in the Chaharshanbe Suri incidents
Babak Yektapour, the spokesman for Iran’s Emergency Organization, stated that from the beginning of Esfand (February 20) until this morning, 282 people have been injured in incidents related to the last Wednesday of the year.
According to the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) news agency, he mentioned that out of this number, 51 people are hospitalized.
Mr. Yektapour also said that so far, there have been 24 cases of limb amputations, 130 people have suffered burns, and 101 people have sustained eye injuries.
The Tasnim news agency, quoting a Ministry of Health official, also reported that 6 people are in intensive care and 6 people have died so far.
