Employees of an American factory in Turkey were taken hostage

An armed man attacked an American consumer goods company based in Turkey and took several workers hostage

According to the Demiroren News Agency (DHA), this incident occurred today, Monday, February 1st, in the Kocaeli province located in western Turkey. The police have surrounded the area. Turkish media reported that the assailant has taken seven people hostage in the factory.

Demiroren News Agency further writes that the assailant wants to protest against the war in Gaza with this action. Images have been published in the media showing the assailant in the factory, with a Turkish flag and a Palestinian flag painted on the wall beside him.
