Emtedad News Site: Maryam Abdi, Daughter of Abbas Abdi, Arrested

The news site Emtedad reported that Maryam Abdi, the daughter of Abbas Abdi, has been arrested.

According to Emtedad news site, Maryam Abdi, a civil activist, was arrested at her home this morning by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence.

Based on this report, the agents also confiscated Ms. Abdi’s electronic devices and took them with them.

She is the daughter of Abbas Abdi, a political activist and journalist, and it is said that her arrest is related to the case of Mehdi Yarahi, a composer and singer.

Mr. Yarahi, who was arrested during the first anniversary of the nationwide protests in 2022 on charges of singing the song ‘Roo Sari To’, was recently released from Evin Prison on bail.
