The End of Iran’s Volleyball Dominance in Asia
The 20th edition of the Men’s World Volleyball Championship concluded after 52 matches and 17 days of effort by the participating teams.
The 2022 Men’s World Volleyball Championship, which began on August 26 hosted by Slovenia and Poland, concluded on the night of September 11 with two final matches held at Spodek Arena in Katowice, Poland, and Italy lifted the championship trophy.
The teams from Poland, Brazil, and Slovenia secured the second to fourth positions in the competition. Iran’s national volleyball team, with two victories against Egypt and Argentina and two defeats against the Netherlands and Brazil, finished in 13th place. The Iranian team ranked 13th in this tournament, following Japan.
