Erdogan: Military Intervention Against Iran Benefits No One

Erdogan: Military intervention against Iran is not beneficial for anyone

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of Turkey, emphasized on Wednesday, February 17, that his country does not agree with military intervention against Iran and has communicated this view to all parties. He warned that any new war targeting Iran will not only be unbeneficial for any party but will also harm the entire region.

Speaking to reporters on his way back from a trip to Ethiopia, Erdogan clarified that Turkey has stated that military conflict and escalating tensions will lead the region into more uncertainty and instability.

The Turkish President also added that Ankara is in contact with Iran and the United States at the highest levels regarding the tensions between the two countries.
