Esfahani Farmers Held a Protest to Advocate for the Reopening of Zayandeh Rud

Isfahan farmers held a protest gathering to pursue the reopening of the Zayandehrud River.

On Thursday, March 27, Isfahan farmers once again held a protest gathering to pursue the reopening of the Zayandehrud River and their water rights.

They are protesting against their situation and the authorities’ disregard for their problems.

Farmers demanding their water rights also took to the streets of Isfahan with their tractors on Monday, March 4.

The water of the Zayandehrud River was temporarily reopened on Friday, November 30, for the autumn cultivation of farmers in eastern Isfahan.

In recent years, many Isfahan farmers have repeatedly protested by holding gatherings and marches against the cut-off of their water rights and poor cultivation conditions.
