Establishment of a Maritime Corridor for Aid to Gaza: EU Joins the US

Launching a maritime corridor to aid Gaza, the European Union joins the United States

Amid warnings about the situation in Gaza, which is on the brink of famine, the European Union, along with the United States and the United Arab Emirates, say they are launching a maritime corridor to deliver humanitarian aid to Palestinians in this region. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, announced this plan on Friday, March 8, during her visit to Cyprus, where she warned of a humanitarian disaster in Gaza.

She said that the operation of this plan should start over the weekend, and a trial operation will be conducted on Friday beforehand.
