Esteghlal Club regarding the billion-toman debt to the dry cleaner: Our issues with professional debts have been resolved.
On Tuesday, May 5th, Saedeh Sima, the spokesperson for Esteghlal Club, mentioned the team’s debts during a press conference and said, ‘Our issues with professional debts have been resolved.’
This comes after Farideh Shojaei, a member of the board of directors of Esteghlal Club, and Hashem Beikzadeh, the head coach of Esteghlal’s youth football team, spoke about the club’s significant debts, including a billion-toman debt to a dry cleaner.
Ali Tajernia, the chairman of the board of directors of Esteghlal Club, says that a dry cleaner claims that for its services from 2016 until a year or two ago, it is owed 4 billion or, according to another account, 7 billion tomans by Esteghlal Club.
The issue of Esteghlal’s billion-toman debt to the dry cleaner was first brought to the media’s attention in April during a meeting between the board of directors and Esteghlal’s veterans, raising many questions among the press and fans.
